Sriwijaya Air is an Indonesia airline with callsign “Sriwijaya”. They operates about 13 airplanes of Boeing 737-200 and serves the domestic flights route. PT Sriwijaya Air began service on November 10, 2003 with route Jakarta-Pangkal Pinang. Then new routes such as Jakarta-Jambi and Jakarta-Palembang was added. In their first year, Sriwijaya Air experienced a rapid growth. As of June 2009, Sriwijaya Air operates 23 aircraft, serving more than 33 domestic routes and 2 regional routes.

In the year 2007 Sriwijaya Air received an award from the Boeing International Award, Safety and Maintenance aircraft. This Charter was awarded by Boeing after passing the inspection carried put in a few months. In terms of security and service, Sriwijaya Air is the only airline that operates and maintains aircraft without fatal accidents
