Brinker International is the parent company of Chili’s, On the Border Mexican Grill and Cantina, Maggiano’s Little Italy, and Romano’s Macaroni Grill. While it describes itself as “the premier casual dining restaurant company in the world”, it is the largest casual-dining restaurant operator in terms of revenue behind Darden Restaurants, with more than 1,900 restaurant locations in 25 countries.

The company was founded in 1975 as Chili’s Bar and Grill, purchased by restaurateur Norman E. Brinker in 1983 and rechristened Brinker International in 1990. Currently it has more than 1,900 restaurants worldwide with 100,000 employees and system-wide sales exceeding $4 billion annually. Based in Dallas, Texas, it is one of the largest employers based in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
