Lego is a privately held company based in Billund, Denmark which popular for its line of construction toys. Their famous “Lego” product consists of colorful interlocking plastic bricks and an accompanying array of gears, minifigures and various other parts. It can be assembled in many ways, to construct such objects as vehicles, buildings and even working robots. Anything constructed can then be taken apart again, and the pieces used to make other objects.

1940 was the year when the toys were originally designed and launched. Since then, Lego has earned international interests and appeals, as well as extensive subculture that supports Lego movies, games, competitions, and four Lego-themed amusement parks.

Ole Kirk Christiansen was the man behind the founding of the Lego Group. He was a carpenter from Billund, Denmark, who began creating wooden toys in 1932. The company began calling itself “Lego” two years later in 1934.
